Axis Vs Dart

I expect a lot of you have wondered what the difference is between a Tracker Axis and a Tracker Dart baseplate. well wonder no more as here you can see the difference for yourself, on the left we have the Indy-a-like Axis and on the right the Dart.
Tonight I set up my Death Dave Allen with my Tracker Axis and the dyed Cozmo Man In Black wheels....

Medway

Been out with the loop bros today road tripping in Kent.
A great day in the sunshine skating Dartford and Rochester, sarnies and beer were the order of the day.
Rochester is a Medway town and as no photos of a rad day out yet as mostly I was shooting on the Vivitar UW&S here's a musical treat that links in nicely with the geography of today's trip.
Medway Powerhouse Volume 1
The man behind a lot of these bands is Billy Childish a prolific musician, poet, artist, author etc etc etc....

I don't want to go to Chelsea...
said Elvis Costello in his 1978 single.
Dunno why not though, I went to Chelsea Flower Show today and enjoyed myself, mind you we got in free as oldest stepson works for the RHS and got some free tickets.

Windsor Mini

I used to skate this back garden miniramp in Windsor back around the summer of 1990.
The ramp belonged to a kid called (I think) Rob.
The guy skating it was/is called Ryan Smith(?) who was a yank who lived in Windsor with his air hostess mum.
He was from Chicago and we lost touch when he moved back.
I wonder what he's doing now?

Makeover
I've given the pink thing a makeover, now running on 75mm O'tangs instead of the 77mm Speedvents so it's a whole 1mm lower.

'nother new camera
Went to visit my parents today as it's my old mums birthday tomorrow.
Happy 80th mum.
Anyway ended up coming away with more than we took with us as my dad insisted I have this camera. As you can see it's a Chinon CE-5 complete with a 28-50mm zoom. There's a flash to go with it too.
Also ended up with another camera, more about that another day...

'nother new deck

I shelled out on a Death Dave Allen today, a new one not this one pictured.
This one is one of Dave Allens own boards that he gave to an ex-pat mate (sidvic on OMA and OKS) who now lives in America when they met up a few weeks back.
Dunno about you but I can't stand the graphics on this deck? Gotta be one of the worst I've ever seen. But can I bring myself to cover it up with stickers?
In the words of the great man himself...

Pink Pushycat
Been tweaking ready for Bath to Bristol (not Brighton).
Remodelled the old pink thing made from a reshaped mountain board deck.
Cut down the nose and tail, I tried it on Holeys again but found they were a bit high so back to Tracker 184's again but lowered with risers on top of the deck, also dewedged a bit to counteract the wedging from the deck.
Had to Dremel some axle wells in so they didn't foul on the deck...

Surrey Pool
October 2007, I got a text message from an old friend Trevor asking if I wanted to skate a permission pool nearby.
This is a little clip of a couple of the boys, Trevor and Tom skating it.
filmed by Ian Cocking.
Think I'll have to chase him up for the rest of the film...
We hit it again the next week with Sean Goff, Jellyhead and various others from Oxford and Crawley...

What Abec Mister?

Well who'd of thought it eh?
A band called Precision Bearings, this 3 track 7" was released in 1981 on the Fowl Records label.
It appears that Precision Bearings were a San Francisco based 'art collective.
The tracks are Roller Funk, Roller Bliss and Don't Fall Down.
Sort of Avant Garde Jazz Funk Experimental stuff, that hippy would probably love it...

Kooks at Wanchese
I just had to put this up on here.
What a brilliant video from Concretin Jon shot at the recent Kook visit to Wanchese bowl.
Wouldn't mind something like that in the garden of Mullet Mansion
