As I had some spare time today I thought I'd finally get around to doing some work on them.<br />
<br />
Made a few discoveries..<br />
<br />
Stripped the wheels off to discover that the ACS 430 hangers have fully threaded axles, interesting, maybe it was a way of using up old stock of unsold hangers.<br />
Might come in handy for another project that I'll probably never finish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RNxc7ayWYow/W3MZmcX-V2I/AAAAAAAAE2k/z80im6cRsJMpXx3RdD-gZagjPrVjwxgrwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMAG1252.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1117" data-original-width="1600" height="223" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RNxc7ayWYow/W3MZmcX-V2I/AAAAAAAAE2k/z80im6cRsJMpXx3RdD-gZagjPrVjwxgrwCLcBGAs/s320/IMAG1252.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Cleaned them up abit with some engine degreaser and a toothbrush, came up looking good, the quality of the casting leaves something to be desired though, never noticed back in the day, maybe they were this bad but I'm now more conscious of such things.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-84JFi1fzk0A/W3MaauuLtZI/AAAAAAAAE2s/W4ZZKzs4pogTtzINfh9cq-3kF9YBHQFnACLcBGAs/s1600/IMAG1253.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-84JFi1fzk0A/W3MaauuLtZI/AAAAAAAAE2s/W4ZZKzs4pogTtzINfh9cq-3kF9YBHQFnACLcBGAs/s320/IMAG1253.jpg" width="223" /></a></div>
<br />
I then wondered why I was bothering to clean them up if I wasn't going to use the hangers but did all four anyway.<br />
<br />
The bushings were actually in good shape and seemed usable after a wash in soapy water.<br />
<br />
The front two pivot cups had turned waxy and disintegrated, have replaced them with some I had.<br />
<br />
Found a couple of 651 hangers that I have and offered them up, the kingpins stick out far too much, same as on the 430's, after tapping a rear kingpin out I then discovered that my GrindKing kingpins were too short, the baseplate on the rear is very thick. I then also discovered that reversing the kingpin doesn't really make a lot of difference in the height. A real danger of hanging up with these, the older longer GK KP's might be alright, have some somewhere but probably fitted to some trucks.<br />
<br />
Bearing are soaking in degreaser for now but will probably be replaced anyway.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

These popped up on eBay and I had to have them.</div>

<br />
Instagram seems to have taken over for me but here I am again.<br />
<br />
A lot has happened over the last two years.<br />
<br />
New car, new job, new eye lenses, new lower weight, some new skateboard parts and new friends and new countries visited.<br />
<br />
Some things never change though...<br />
<br />
You leave your skateboard at the park unattended and it gains a sticker or two.<br />

Finally got around to setting up the Gecko last night just in time for the torrential rain and thunder today, great. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Set up with the Don't Trip Slalocybins, with Yellow and Pink Abec 11 Zig Zags. (as they were what was on the board I dismantled) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Two rubber shock pads and an Element hard riser under each truck give an extra 10mm of clearance. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-deZRYqfaMyQ/VcyC3YEl0PI/AAAAAAAAExg/wsKBlOzm5oY/s1600/IMAG1490.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="226" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-deZRYqfaMyQ/VcyC3YEl0PI/AAAAAAAAExg/wsKBlOzm5oY/s400/IMAG1490.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Up top there's Mob Super Coarse Grip Tape and a PSD 'IN Side' Footstop.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Red Venom Dome head bolts for three quarters of the fixings and some countersunk on the rearmost after I ended up snapping the heads off of two Khiro Trussheads. Grrr. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D5KFYu7aEy0/VcyC0qiqDKI/AAAAAAAAExc/SVGhVnCjknc/s1600/IMAG1491.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="226" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D5KFYu7aEy0/VcyC0qiqDKI/AAAAAAAAExc/SVGhVnCjknc/s400/IMAG1491.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Current wheelbase is 19" measured inner truck bolt centres, 21" actual (axle to axle) I can squeeze another half inch out by moving the rear truck on the baseplate holes. That gives me a range of 17.5" to 19.5" with the double drilled nose and baseplates. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Need to find some time and dry weather to try it out before the next race. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Griptaped the Gecko this evening. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Left a diagonal strip in the middle ungripped to show off the carbon and save a bit of weight. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YY6GiYDmHQg/VcZhPNg1hEI/AAAAAAAAExE/qk8yjTD_n8s/s1600/IMAG1449.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YY6GiYDmHQg/VcZhPNg1hEI/AAAAAAAAExE/qk8yjTD_n8s/s400/IMAG1449.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This puts the weight of the ungripped deck into perspective, the deck only weighs 4.6 x the weight of the grip tape. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So here goes...<br />
<br />

<br />
I bought this Skaterbuilt Mike Maysey Hybrid slalom at <a href="http://labrosus.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/hogtoberfest.html" target="_blank">Hogtoberfest</a> from "The Bass Player"<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sOVChj0X2OY/VQ8HCJR77mI/AAAAAAAAEs0/0OjKRUN-nrA/s1600/IMAG0918.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sOVChj0X2OY/VQ8HCJR77mI/AAAAAAAAEs0/0OjKRUN-nrA/s1600/IMAG0918.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Wasn't too keen on the sticker job albeit there were some cool ones on there so set about removing them, all came off without too much trouble and after a quick clean with some brake cleaner to remove the sticker residue it was looking a lot cleaner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hv38HnfGKbU/VQ8IZn4dbdI/AAAAAAAAEtA/93gwstbxJEc/s1600/IMAG0919.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hv38HnfGKbU/VQ8IZn4dbdI/AAAAAAAAEtA/93gwstbxJEc/s1600/IMAG0919.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It looks as though Helen Keller has been let loose on it with an electric drill however, some of the stickers were strategically placed to hide holes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had planned to set this up as Mike Maysey recommended with a Tracker RT-S / RT-X combo but didn't have one to hand. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did however have the <a href="http://labrosus.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/skandalous.html" target="_blank">Bennett / Randal combo</a> that I bought a couple of weeks ago.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The rearmost set of rear truck mounting holes were an extra set that had been added, I contemplated not using these but then realised that with a 'reverse kingpin' truck the wheelbase is effectively shorter so went with the longer option.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A bit of judicious bolt bending and riser stacking, about 20° of de-wedge under the 35° baseplate and taking the angle of the flattish tail into account the Randal looks to be suitably de-wedged. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I slapped some 85A Riptide barrels in it and some Lime Green Zig Zags on Seismic Tektron bearings.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the front the Bennett needed a bit of tweaking as the original press in kingpin had been removed and it had been supplied with an 'aircraft grade' longer kingpin, broke out the JB Weld and fixed it into place.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A 10° wedge and a couple of thinner risers, Reflex Bushings of an unknown duro, Yellow Zig Zags blah blah blah.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Didn't take it for a spin as I need to wait for the JB Weld to cure completely before cranking the nut down from finger tight. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Wheelbase is 21.5" </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--5_9j3u4VHA/VQ8ZKirVuBI/AAAAAAAAEtQ/qv8SDR1MkNc/s1600/IMAG0921.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--5_9j3u4VHA/VQ8ZKirVuBI/AAAAAAAAEtQ/qv8SDR1MkNc/s1600/IMAG0921.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>

October at Hog Hill is Hogtoberfest time. Full on hill bombing and slalom weekend.<br>
Great weekend, old Guildford Skate Star mate Martin Pavey was over from Oz.<br>
Mentioned it to Trev who just happened to own a Turner Summer Ski deck that used to belong to Martin.<br>
Little did I know that he would give it to Martin as a present.<br>

Some more trucks arrived at work today.<br />
A Bennett and a Randal.<br />
Both have been narrowed to 110mm. Not sure if these are the Sk8Kings modded Skennett & Skandal. <br />
The Bennett came with Reflex bushings and the Randal has the 35° baseplate, this will need less de-wedging to get the desired angle on the back. </div>

Might set these up on the Skaterbuilt Mike Maysey hybrid. Although I had contemplated getting a Tracker RT-S RT-X combo for that.</div>

Picked this up from eBay for £20 plus a little bit more for postage. They cost a lot more new.<br />
It's a Surf Rodz truck with an adjustable baseplate. It can be adjusted between 60° and 0° in 5° increments so that's turny through to dead.<br />
Not sure what to do with it yet, it's a bit wide at 150mm for a slalom truck but would make a good dead rear truck set up at 0°, 5° or 10° <br />
Might see if I can get it machined down at work. Might be tricky though as the axles screw into the hanger and are secured with grub screws. Not sure if it can be done but we'll see. </div>

Boom, the return of the blog!</div>

Been a while.</div>

Here's some things that happened. Back in August Trev bought along a little rocker deck set up with bottle green Kryptonics and Stroker trucks. </div>

Made by Ermico they were a predecessor of Indy trucks. <br />
Crazy things that turn by the way of pivots and rose joints. Steer more like a car than a skateboard. </div>

On the tiny rocker deck with its short wheelbase it almost turned in its own length.</div>

What Pads? Ordered these last week via Amazon after having a look at Ricardo's, Destroyer P Series…<br />
<br />
Wasn't sure which colour to go for but Mrs B said that the Camo ones really stood out, I pointed out that they weren't supposed to...<br />
<br />
Arrived today, not bad, 1 week door to door, $84 including shipping and pre-collected tax.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ro7PkHgKuj0/UkhkH1d_MTI/AAAAAAAAEkU/0szYOBzYz64/s1600/IMG_2930.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ro7PkHgKuj0/UkhkH1d_MTI/AAAAAAAAEkU/0szYOBzYz64/s400/IMG_2930.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
It's The Bristol Board Meeting so business attire is encouraged, I picked up a nice M&S worsted suit in a BHF charity shop for £8, Jill converted the trousers into shorts for me.<br />
<br />
I set off at 7:20 to West Byfleet to catch the first of 3 trains to Bath Spa, a gentle skate of 2.29 miles on wet roads/footpaths. <a href="http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/299514411" target="_blank">http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/299514411</a><br />
<br />
Changed at Woking and Salisbury and arrived at Bath Spa at 10:36 where I was adopted by a couple of teenagers with longboards who felt sorry for the slightly lost old man with a suit and board. The start had moved from the station to Green Park since the last time I'd done it. A short skate to the start where we milled about chatting.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s_7Tg1g19Mk/UkhtYdqdkvI/AAAAAAAAEkw/DckxLFiuSzE/s1600/IMG_2934.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s_7Tg1g19Mk/UkhtYdqdkvI/AAAAAAAAEkw/DckxLFiuSzE/s400/IMG_2934.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
After a few photos it was time to hit the Bath-Bristol Railway Path.<br />
It was wet when we set off, a bit of dazzle but luckily a lot of the route is sheltered under trees.<br />
Vans Hi-Tops with worn soles are not the best for pushing in in wet conditions or the best for foot braking in either!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vqcCaBLyxoQ/Ukh0jUBU_3I/AAAAAAAAElA/uzC5XiSylB0/s1600/65031_10151765978243509_1694133703_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vqcCaBLyxoQ/Ukh0jUBU_3I/AAAAAAAAElA/uzC5XiSylB0/s400/65031_10151765978243509_1694133703_n.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I stopped halfway for a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a slice of very nice carrot cake, the nice people at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/WarmleyWaitingRoom" target="_blank">Warmley Waiting Room</a> did well to keep up with demand.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">
After a while we made it as far as Shiners warehouse for the finish/raffle/slide jam, really needed a "this way"sign on the path or it would have been missed, luckily I bumped into a group who were lost(ish) and showed me the way.</div>
<div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">
The slide jam and were raffle were great, good to meet too.</div>

Headed out for an early morning slalom session today. Plan was to hit Ascot race course underpass. Met Trev and Paul there. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Unfortunately it's Royal Ascot next week and so the normally gated road was open to allow access for contractors etc.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We decided to try Ash Ranges, after a walk from the station car park through the woods we found that the Red Flags were flying and it was a no-go (unless we wanted to get shot, which we didn't)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Trev suggested a spot that he had cycled past recently that was not far a drive away, one junction on the M3. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It turned out to be ok, not the smoothest of surfaces but quiet. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The view as we walked up from where we'd parked</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OrKKsiS6ExI/Ub4DOfXJYtI/AAAAAAAAEfw/JrNmf5Z6SLo/s1600/IMG_2464.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OrKKsiS6ExI/Ub4DOfXJYtI/AAAAAAAAEfw/JrNmf5Z6SLo/s400/IMG_2464.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Looking down from about halfway up. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AEgfyd9QVvI/Ub4DOpPUUAI/AAAAAAAAEf0/E2WWgLD6IL8/s1600/IMG_2465.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AEgfyd9QVvI/Ub4DOpPUUAI/AAAAAAAAEf0/E2WWgLD6IL8/s400/IMG_2465.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Looking up from the same spot.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LUxMb7AUaNA/Ub4DOFSR2XI/AAAAAAAAEfs/bi5TVc1fVfw/s1600/IMG_2466.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LUxMb7AUaNA/Ub4DOFSR2XI/AAAAAAAAEfs/bi5TVc1fVfw/s400/IMG_2466.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Some things to miss. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EyG5NQXY_S8/Ub4DSVzWRzI/AAAAAAAAEgM/QofVHsu1deY/s1600/IMG_2467.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EyG5NQXY_S8/Ub4DSVzWRzI/AAAAAAAAEgM/QofVHsu1deY/s400/IMG_2467.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Had a good time, rain stopped play in the end. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was all going so well until Trev volunteered to film me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/c7Qoh2g2x2I" width="480"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In the afternoon I decided to have a fiddle with my rear truck.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was impressed with its performance today but it still felt a bit surfy at the back, I wanted to get it feeling a bit less so. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Cone Killer came drilled for multiple alternative mounts but in reality only the two extremes lined up with baseplates.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've had the rear truck mounted on the rearmost set of holes but found this was giving me a really long wheelbase and it was difficult to get over the rear truck. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Be0clXAJYt8/Ub4DYl2lixI/AAAAAAAAEgc/bH-ix0duECo/s1600/IMG_2476.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Be0clXAJYt8/Ub4DYl2lixI/AAAAAAAAEgc/bH-ix0duECo/s400/IMG_2476.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So the holes in the top of the deck line up with the holes in the baseplate...</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But once you turn it over the holes don't…</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4EMWrUUVhTc/Ub4DkVEuROI/AAAAAAAAEhA/L5T9rCygzBM/s1600/IMG_2479.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4EMWrUUVhTc/Ub4DkVEuROI/AAAAAAAAEhA/L5T9rCygzBM/s400/IMG_2479.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Holes are drilled perpendicular to the top of the deck.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_2tWnMLrbxQ/Ub4DnGSW-mI/AAAAAAAAEhQ/OI2w2oUN1ZQ/s1600/IMG_2481.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_2tWnMLrbxQ/Ub4DnGSW-mI/AAAAAAAAEhQ/OI2w2oUN1ZQ/s400/IMG_2481.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I put some short bolts through the inner holes and used the baseplate as a guide to drill through, so the holes are now elongated on the bottom of the deck but still round on the top. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7LqSDoFTThI/Ub4DnfT6uoI/AAAAAAAAEhU/R5XWx2r5aQM/s1600/IMG_2482.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7LqSDoFTThI/Ub4DnfT6uoI/AAAAAAAAEhU/R5XWx2r5aQM/s400/IMG_2482.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Played around with risers, the softer ones are ok but squid out a bit, they do however take up the curve from the kicktail. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bdUx0ff0A0k/Ub4DqWKos6I/AAAAAAAAEho/LCavwyUARMU/s1600/IMG_2484.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bdUx0ff0A0k/Ub4DqWKos6I/AAAAAAAAEho/LCavwyUARMU/s400/IMG_2484.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I ended up with 3 x soft 0 - 0.5" and a thin hard riser to help spread the load</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_-5ByRoqBM4/Ub4DqS45iBI/AAAAAAAAEhs/UxyXheC7nEI/s1600/IMG_2485.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_-5ByRoqBM4/Ub4DqS45iBI/AAAAAAAAEhs/UxyXheC7nEI/s400/IMG_2485.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RfSECBsTAKQ/Ub4Dsus6IwI/AAAAAAAAEiA/ZA0bZFTeZ_E/s1600/IMG_2486.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RfSECBsTAKQ/Ub4Dsus6IwI/AAAAAAAAEiA/ZA0bZFTeZ_E/s400/IMG_2486.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Still a bit of bending and squidging, about 10º of dewedge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hsBSTcwujFc/Ub4Dsb2DN1I/AAAAAAAAEh8/z1B8ImQ-7dw/s1600/IMG_2487.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hsBSTcwujFc/Ub4Dsb2DN1I/AAAAAAAAEh8/z1B8ImQ-7dw/s400/IMG_2487.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll see how that is next time. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Carbon Fiber (sic) supposedly, look like plastic to me, I've not seen any Carbon Fibre that looks like that, maybe some in there somewhere but they are injection moulded. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Couldn't easily get to a Tracker 161 to compare weights but they weigh 332g compared to 354g for narrower Tracker B2's with GK kingpins. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Reports I read say they turn like Trackers so looking forward to giving them a try. Apparently the stock bushings are rock hard so they'll go. </div>

<br />
A beautiful sunny morning. I arrived as Trev and Paul were walking from the car park and wee were soon joined by Ric to unlock and let us in..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jnqGYMvLrjo/UaJYWafbV4I/AAAAAAAAEYY/_sukOBf7ddI/s1600/IMGP0347.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jnqGYMvLrjo/UaJYWafbV4I/AAAAAAAAEYY/_sukOBf7ddI/s400/IMGP0347.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
There has been a bit of resurfacing done since the last time I was there, namely the cockpocket, for some reason there is a big lump on the flat where the two bits of the bowl join that needs an angle grinder taking to it to flatten it out.<br />
<br />
Didn't seem to bother Trev.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d5hz3FeqvqM/UaJaQVMhcYI/AAAAAAAAEYk/ELc9Xgr1-_Y/s1600/IMGP0349.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d5hz3FeqvqM/UaJaQVMhcYI/AAAAAAAAEYk/ELc9Xgr1-_Y/s400/IMGP0349.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3Ro65SVvlVI/UUIegaeA89I/AAAAAAAAEWk/gFsJ7dBBZ1U/s1600/32wheels.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3Ro65SVvlVI/UUIegaeA89I/AAAAAAAAEWk/gFsJ7dBBZ1U/s400/32wheels.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Decided to try and stick to the 8 all day, started off on the new Veteran Typhoon (left)<br />
<br />
Wheelbase is shorter as is the tail, the combination of these counteract each other and it actually skates better than I expected for a short deck with a short wheelbase.<br />
<br />
Had a few slams when I switched back to the 4 wheeler.<br />
<br />
Shot some footage of Trev on hits BDS with my Pentax K30. Need to practice a bit and maybe switch to manual focus and play with other settings.<br />
<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AhCw2w85aSc" width="560"></iframe><br />
<br />
Missed the drop in at the start and no hand plants in this run…<br />
<br />
Battery was nearly dead on my camera so no other pictures from today. </div>
