Trying To Blag A Sponsorship Deal

This is the balloon that I tried to blag off of my employers at the time. It was 1999 according to the date on the artwork that Sky Balloons prepared for me.
They didn't go for it (bastards).
I had a big business plan spiel that I had to go through with the directors of the company, I think it was only the MD who didn't like it.

Freecycle result

Saw some film developing stuff advertised on Freecycle this morning, dropped the guy an email and he got straight back to me.
This afternoon I went over to pick up the Jobo tanks he had advertised.

He also threw in a lot of paper (8 boxes, mostly unopened) and then proceded to rummage through cupboards and piled stuff in a box for me.

A Quantum Instruments Radio Slave 4 remote flash unit.

An air shutter release thingy.

A bulk film loader and some refillable cassettes

A Hoya 50mm f2.8 Enlarger lens

2 packs of 4 x 5 Polaroid film (expiry date '03)

A Patterson developing Tank, holds 3 films.

And 14 rolls of Patterson AcuPan800 Black & White film (expiry date '99)

Photogram

Went to college tonight.
1st night of a six week course in darkroom stuff.
Tonight we did photograms like wot Man Ray did.

I did my Swiss Army Knife.

I like it, looks more like an X-Ray though

Next week film developing, got to shot a roll of proper black and white for homework, but which camera should I use?

London Underground

I was telling The Bob about London Underground the other day as they popped up on my iPod when spookily I was on the tube.

They were on the On-U label and you can read about them here.

It was only recently that I found out that the track listing on the back of the CD (Compilation 80-84) was in the wrong order, had been confusing me for years.

This is the only thing by them that I could find on You Tube (should that be On-U Tube?)

POP vs UW&S

Took these 2 shots from the same place at the same time (well not the exact same time, but seconds apart)

1st with the Konica POP

Lick This!

2nd with the Vivitar UW&S

Lick This 2
Should have waited for that geezer to get out of shot, I forget that the viewfinder doesn't show everything that's in shot.

Both cross processed Kodak Elite Chrome.

New Shirt

Got a call the other day from The Longboard Lounge owner Vic asking me to drop by and pick up a free t-shirt.
So I did yesterday. Wokings skyline with nice pink lettering on the front and pink lettering on the back at the bottom.
Saw a nice fixie in the window of the bike shop next door too...

Found this today in the bottom of a drawer.
I thought I still had it after seeing Tone's blog

All Slams No Bails...

...appears to be the motto of the Barrow Boys.
Smell and Joxa must have been aching like gooduns on Thursday morning.
They are like a couple of crash test dummies.

Here's a pic of Anthony (Smell) heading groundward at BaySixty6 or whatever it's called this week.

Laidback Bob

Bob was in London so I hopped on the train up to Brixton to meet him at St. Ockwell (the patron saint of skateboarding) Park.
He had Joxa and Smell in tow and after they threw themselves at the ground a few times it started raining so we jumped on the tube to Meanwhile 2 where I threw myself on the ground.
The sun was out again so we skated to Meanwhile Gardens were it promptly started raining again so we debunked to Playstation for a quick skootle.

Then to the pub. Rad day out in the big village.

The imaginary food from the imaginary chefs never really caught on...

You'll have somebody's fisheye out with that!

Mike Day nearly took out my fisheye out with his deck at Shoreham.
Luckily I stopped his board from hitting the railings with my leg.

Deathbox

I went to the grand opening of the new skatepark at Shoreham today.
It's absolutely lovely.
Only complaint that I had was about the deathbox. I wanted to be able to put my camera inside it to fire with the remote but it's not possible.
Jellyhead informed me that it was to stop people putting things in there to set fire to. I can see his point.

Quad update...

Fitted the 651 copy hangers and the Alva wheels from the 8 wheeler (for now).
Took them out for a spin, might need harder bushings and maybe some shorter kingpins (or inverted ones) I think.

Oh and here's a quick film of my first time on tranny wearing skates in about 30 years.

Maybe I should have worn some kneepads.

Quads Wrangled

Got me some free quad skates from my local Freecycle group.

Project quad skates will be documented fully on here, I already have some ACS651 copy hangers which will fit straight on.

You need wheels...

Love the fact that someone commented "Fuckin Chaz & Dave in parkas" on YouTube.

Anyway, I got some new (to me) wheels.
BDS DubCon things. 65mm.

I like the way they've machine the tooling so that the name is embossed in the wheel rather than using printing which falls off.
