Bag of Trucks

Gavin at Surrey Skateboards came up trumps.

Ordered yesterday, arrived today…

Six Tracker Mids, 4 for me for Project "Free, The Danish 8", the other 2 for Gra for something or other he's got up his sleeve.

Got the blue 'soft' Superball bushings in, might swap them for orange Khiros which are a bit softer.

Earley Snow Session

Well it's been a while, haven't skated since 7th December, been buying wheels like that are going out of fashion though…

So this morning we headed over to Earley, was snowing lightly and 1ยบ C when I left home.
Trev was already there and had cleared the bowl with his leaf blower and dustpan and brush.

We had the two minty fresh BDS 8's with us so Trev snapped a quick pic before they got ridden...

It was bloody cold…

We soon warmed up a bit...

The 4's hardly got touched, I only had a few runs at the start on my new Pool King Stinger, didn't touch the Skaterbuilt at all..

Gra joined us making three 8 wheelers, possibly the largest gathering of 8 wheelers in the UK ever…

He was soon getting to grips with it… (most of the time)

Trev stepped it up a pace with axle stalls, inverts, roll-outs to tail and a couple of attempted rock 'n' rolls…

A few of Trevs pics of me, cheers mate…

A really good session, sorry I don't get any pics of Paul on his 4 who had joined us from his deathbed.

Damp Bournemouth Skate Day

Back on the 23rd November, Gra and I went down to Bournemouth and met up with Paul and Jase.

It was touch and go whether anything was going to happen as the weather was a bit iffy to say the least.

Slades Farm was a bit soggy so Paul took us to the nearby Velodrome which was fun.
Then we skated Slades and Kings Park interspersed with tea/coffee and cake at Paul & Charlottes.

A great day with great people.

Thanks

Here's some photos…

More Wiggling

Here's some photo's that Trev took of me over at Ash Ranges yesterday evening, I look like I almost know what I'm doing...

And here's a clip of Gray that I forgot to post last night...

Welcome To A Wiggly World

Went over to Ash Ranges this evening, borrowed a slalom board off of Trev, I've now been bitten by the slalom bug.
I had so much fun, last time I slalomed with any seriousness was in the 70's probably, I've had a few tries since then but this evening was fantastic.

Skaterbuilt Conekiller, Bennett/Tracker, Abec11 Big Zigs (or maybe Zig Zags?)
Anyway, loved the deck, want one now.

Also took some footage with the camera tucked down my sock.

WARNING: don't watch if you suffer from seasickness.

No Jelly At The Party :(

It was my *cough* 50th Birthday on Tuesday and as I was down in Brighton for a few days decided to invite some friends along for a skate at Shoreham Skatepark.

The weather was dodgy all week but wasn't as bad as forecast on Wednesday, dry and windy most of the day in Brighton but then a big downpour at 3 o'clockish.

Me and the current Mrs Brown arrived by train just late enough to make sure that Trev and Gray had swept and dried the bowl and as we crossed the road to the park Nathan arrived.

We managed to skate until dark with only one small shower, then it was off to the Duke of Wellington where they had laid on a buffet, fireworks and folk singing, awesome.

Then Jelly turned up, gave me stickers and bought me a beer. Cheers.

Mrs Brown managed to snap us before the pub, l-r Nathan, Trev (cunningly hiding Trackers), Me, Gray.

Earley One Morning...

... well after the sun was rising.

made it to Sol Jol Park.

What a great park, very dusty, take a broom, but so much quirky stuff to skate.

The run in is very 70's halfpipe, quick as a quick thing and as whippy as a whip...

Love the shadow on the this one of Trev

gra doing exactly what it says on his shirt...

Paul getting up there, nice one...
