On The Rocks

Trev snapped this cracker yesterday at Cookies Bash. Thanks mate.

Not sure why I always seem to have skate fists. Reminded me of this...

Cookiebash

Top Brizzle boy Cookie had his 50th bash at Midsomer Norton today.

Had a top day out, long drive down via Crowthorne to pick up Gra and Trev and Trowbridge to meet The Gaffer and attempt to follow keep in sight the RS Focus across Salisbury Plain.

A good turn out. Here's a a few pics...

Oh and thanks for the beers and hot sauce Gra and Trev, nice touch. Glad you didn't shrinkwrap them.

Something Old, Something New

Not Blue or Borrowed though.

Latest acquisition turned up at work in a particularly skateboard shaped package.

Pretty funky griptape pattern.

ACS 500's & Powerflex 5's

Stickers (bottom) ACS, (top) Steve Daniels, Plymouth. Any ideas on the middle one?

Kingpin crime!!!! Where's my Elephant Wrench?

A friend mentioned on Facebook that they had this a couple of years ago, it's older than him, I told him if he ever wanted to get rid of it I'd have it, so it needs a bit of work.

I hadn't realised that the deck was a fibreglass one, almost in a Fibreflex style, it has a strange green material in between two layers of white glass. Very cracked and is shorter at both ends that originally. Now measures 25" x 6.5" roughly.

Peanut

Well I ended up spending over £5 for a sticker that I know I'll never stick on anything. Sad isn't it?
You see the thing is I saw this and just had to have it.

It's a Ned "Peanut" Brown sticker from 88.

Now there's a story behind why my current wife refers to me as Peanut Brown occasionally. It goes like this...

I was talking about skateboarding to her and coming out with a few random facts. She told me that my brain was full of nonsense that nobody really needed to know and that of all my brain I probably used most of it to store facts about skateboarding and only had a peanut sized bit left for everything else. "That's it" she said "from now on I'll call you Peanut Brown" (Brown being my surname for those that don't know).

"Oh" I replied "There's a skateboarder called Peanut Brown"

Scorchio

I work with a great bunch of people.
One of them was at a school function in, of all places, Windsor Castle.
There was Mexican woman there who had some Chilli sauce with her.
My mate Anthony says to her "My mate at work loves Chilli sauce, he'd be all over that."

She gave him the half full bottle to give to me.

Cheers random Mexican woman.

She gets it sent over from Mexico. Good stuff, got a great kick too.

One Day I'll Flyaway

Started to polish my helmet (titter ye not missus).

Flatted back the paint with 1000 grit wet & dry, got a lot of the marks out. this was in preparation for polish and then lacquer.

I decided it was best to strip the trim off and one thing led to another and before I knew it I ended up with a bag of bits.

Got plans, will keep you posted. ;-)

Oh and further to the eBay seller advertising it as a Death Box, heard from Sean Goff that Death Box didn't do helmets (as I suspected) but Jeremy Fox made some before starting Death Box.

More Drifting

Came across this via a post on Facebook which took me to Drift-Trikes UK website.
Looks fun and fairly cheap and easy to build.

Play With Me...

...and you play with fire.

Down to Brighton again yesterday, popped into Chilli Pepper Pete's Chilli Shop.

A small but well stocked shop, bought a couple of plants to grow on. A Cherry Bomb and a Thai.

Also bought a bottle of Envy, I like fruity sauces so thought that Kiwi, Lime and Jalepeno sounded good.
It is good but slightly disappointing in the heat side of things, reckon I good probably chug this down out of the bottle.
