Got a text from Trev on Saturday about going to Biggin Hill on Sunday morning, decided I needed a skate as I hadn't got on my board since Cookies 50th bash at MSN.
So I dusted off the Pacer Hogs
Rain last night and a bit of dampness on the way there had me a bit worried but we arrived just after 9:00 to a dry and deserted skatepark.
It wasn't long before the skootards arrived though, always amazes me how blinkered they are and have no idea what lines skaters are going to take.
A good skate, here's some pics including a couple of me by Trev that I snaffled from his Photobucket account...
Dan did some nice boned airs to fakie and some backside airs...
Trev pulled some inverts in the shallow and some nice frontside grinds
I did my usual...
Discovered I had a "burst" mode on my camera the other day, played around with it and some gifs...

Goodwood FoS 2012
Went to Goodwood today for the Festival of Speed. Big queue of traffic to get through Petworth and a long queue into the site meant we arrived quite late in the morning.
A lot of people there, didn't really get to see much going up the hill due to the crowds, might be worth getting a grandstand ticket in the future.
There were some lovely things on display...

I'm a sucker for that flat track style
Amazing paintwork
Nice Cafe Racer, nice reflection ;-)
Twisted Performance Landrovers, just beautiful.
Got rained on, saw some nice bikes and nice cars, walked miles, saw John Surtees and Stirling Moss.

Project Old Board
Got some bushings from ebay, advertised as being suitable for ACS trucks etc.
Certainly look the part, 1/2" tall, red.
They are rock hard however, might be okay for the displayers out there but I want my ACS500's to turn. I'll see how they are once they are fitted.
I've spoken to my friendly fastener supplier to see if he can get me some new kingpins.
Hope to get this up and running soon.

New Shoes?
Indeed, got a pair of Vans 'Ferris', look a bit like a low Converse instead of the traditional Vans.
Look great with my pink Argyle socks don't they?
This was a tricky shot to take with my iPhone as there's no self timer (is there?) a very contorted lean and a few shots that missed later and got this one.

Helmet Project
It's moved a step forward, been a bit busy at work recently so it had taken a bit of a back seat.
Anyway it's coming along now. A few more weeks and I reckon it'll be almost there.

Brrr It's Chilli In Here
Went to Brighton Marina before we left for home on Sunday, great shop there.
Very friendly people in there, loads of samples and everything rated out of 10 for heat.
I've experimented in the past with adding chilli powder and/or sauce to peanut butter, looks like I missed out on the marketing of it. This is made in Eastbourne by a customer of his who came into the shop and said "I make Chilli Peanut Butter" they struck up a deal and the chap has gone into production now. Also does a milder version a smokey one and a Wasabi one.
This one was the best from my tastings.
I got accidentally overcharged for the items I bought as we were busy chatting and the guy wasn't concentrating whilst counting, he refunded the overcharge and threw a bottle of this in as an apology.
0.75oz 'Travel Bottle' made in Goodyear AZ.

Brighton Weekend
Took the wife up the Hilton (ooh err) for her birthday weekend.
Here's some random pics from my iphone.

Where we ate on Friday night
The remains of the West Pier
Brighton Pavilion
Nice but maybe a bit too hoppy
Obviously an acquired taste, warning may turn hair ginger
80% off, I'll take it.
